Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – Synensys CEO Stephen Powell recently served as the plenary patient safety speaker at the 1st Saudi Military Medicine Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The conference of regional and international speakers focused on improving Military Medical performance in combat casualty care and military readiness in conjunction with Saudi Vision 2030.
“With ever-changing threat environments, it is crucial for military health organizations to raise their readiness to support frontline members during combat, humanitarian missions, and public health emergencies such as COVID-19,” said Powell. “Patient safety is integral to health readiness within the combat casualty environment whether it involves medics, forward surgical care, casualty transport, or aeromedical evacuation.”
Expert panelists and speakers for the conference shared lessons learned and evidence-based practices from other military health operations and academic medicine including disaster management, public health, NATO, Gulf Cooperation Council, World Health Organization, and the U.S. Military Health System.
