Wellspring Living Offers Transformative Care to Victims of Sexual Exploitation
Founded in 2001, Wellspring Living is a non-profit organization in Atlanta, Georgia that provides domestic sex trafficking victims and those at risk with specialized recovery services through residential and community-based programs.
Recently, members of Synensys’ corporate team met with Sarah Richardson, Development Director, for Wellspring Living’s Girls’ Residential Program. Synensys supports Wellspring Living as part of their For-to-Four Community Partnership program. The Girls’ Residential Program is for ages 12-17 and provides trauma-informed care to survivors of Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking in the service of physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration. In a safe residential environment, each girl is encouraged to set personal goals in her therapy and education, and each is supported by staff and volunteers throughout her journey of healing. Dr. Dan Wyman, Synensys Chief Medical Officer commented “It is important to recognize the incredible work that Wellspring is doing in such a devastating aspect of our society (and community). They literally provide women and girls a new opportunity at life due to horrific circumstances not of their own doing…but the fact that we have/need these types of services is an extremely sad commentary on our society and community! “
