IHI Patient Safety Congress Focuses on Re-Commitment to Whole System Safety

The Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Patient Safety Congress continues to shape smarter, safer care for patients wherever it is provided – from the hospital and outpatient settings to the home. Healthcare professionals who are passionate about ensuring safe, equitable care for all come together each year for education, training and share ideas that improve patient safety and create better and safer outcomes.

This year, Synensys® Patient Safety Program Manager, Tina Whitby and eight members of the Patient Safety Team attended the Congress where the focal point was to re-commit healthcare professionals, leaders, and organizations to ensure whole system safety. This approach stressed the importance of listening to patients and families and transitioning safety from a competing priority to a primary focus. Tina commented, “Synensys has been partnering with healthcare organizations for over a decade to build stronger systems and secure safer outcomes. I believe we are leading the way. In fact, several of the top concerns noted during the 2022 Patient Safety Congress align directly with some of our most recent initiatives.”
